Summary: What a sight it would be

In another universe, my Grandpa would have loved to be
A rootin'-tootin' cowboy from an old Western movie
A rancher's son he was, so the country was in his heart
He would have loved to see the Old West get its start
I sure would like to see him in a nice ten-gallon hat
But he was far too gentle to knock some varmint flat
What a sight it would be: Grandpa in the Wild West
He'd cut a finer figure than any of the rest
My Grandpa was a cowboy, at least deep in his soul
And thinking of him that way just makes my heart feel whole
